NOT YOUR GOOD HOMO
“shut your queer joy down like a computer.”
“mute your internal mic.” they say,
wide, hateful grin on their face.
and i used to oblige them, taught to be a Good Homo
with mouth shut and eyes wide for nonexistent wonder.
taught to be a Good Homo—marry a womxn, sure
but do not be outspoken, queer, celestial being.
